gom logo

GOM is a privately owned Germany company specialising in developing market leading optical metrology products for 3D scanning and component testing. GOM UK is the local UK office, based in Coventry with facilities for demonstrations, training and support to UK clients.
Pioneers of the stereo “structured light” scanning technology the ATOS scanners still use this technique in the ATOS sensors.

The ATOS camera systems offer a self-checking process to provide reliable scan data. The scanning process is continually monitored, each step of the measurement is traceable and the operator automatically alerted to any condition changes that could affect quality.
Tactile measurements can be created in addition to scan data with the Touch Probe. The Touch Probe makes capture of simple prismatic features faster and captures data in optically hidden areas.

The ATOS 3D scanning system offers a range of sensors for different applications and budgets. Components from only a few millimetres in size up to several metres can be quickly and easily captured in high detail and accuracy. For repeat measurement applications the ATOS ScanBox automates the measuring process to a simple load and repeat process.

Surphaser logo

The Surphaser product range is uniquely suited for laser scanning requirements that fall between the two common fields of relatively small fixed area work and large area surveying. There are tailored systems for different range requirements, so it is possible to select a unit best suited for a particular scope of work. With survey companies’ now demanding higher accuracy options, our 50HSX model is perfectly suited for sub-mm “high-quality” surveying applications, and is very competitively priced for this significant market area. For large volume metrology requirements our deep sub-mm accuracy 100HSX models offer ultra-low noise data, which greatly eases post-processing tasks. These scanners are widely in use in industries such as aerospace, military, shipbuilding, and train manufacture. Service companies also commonly employ Surphaser scanners, not just because of excellent data quality produced, but also because of the versatility the scanners provide. Additionally Surphaser SMR nest compatible target accessories allow direct comparison of scan data to a traceable measurement instrument, such as a laser tracker. This is crucial where overall scan accuracy needs to be verified, as systems of this type do not yet conform to any nationally recognised standards.
