Windows 7, 8 & 10 Professional set up

You must modify certain settings of the Windows software. Log on to the computer as Administrator and follow these steps:

1. In the control Panel, choose User Accounts
2. Click Change User Account Control Settings.
3. Drag the slider to the Never notify position.
4. Click OK
5. Windows 8 only:

In the Control Panel, choose Administrative Tools and double-click Local Security Policy.
In the left part of the window, double-click the Security Settings branch to expand it, double-click Local Policies, then click Security Options.
In the right part of the window, disable the User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode policy.

6. Restart your computer.
7. Once the PolyWorks installation is complete, restore the settings to their original value.

Dell Precision Mobile Workstation Display Performance

It has come to our attention that the default configuration of some Dell Precision mobile workstations (e.g., M6700), which are equipped with an integrated graphics card and a specialised NVIDIA® Quadro® card, may be set to use only the integrated graphics card. This default configuration results in a dramatic loss of performance for rendering in the PolyWorks® 3D scene and makes unavailable a new PolyWorks option that further increases rendering speed by optimising the specialised graphics card resources.

Lost dongles with permanent keys will be replaced for a fee equivalent to 100% of the current cost of a new license. Please can ALL PolyWorks dongles be insured so you are covered in the event of losing your dongle.

PolyWorks Help Files;

Please read the PolyWorks Essentials Document which has instructions on how to use all the features in your PolyWorks Module. This can be found in the help menu at the top of your PolyWorks workspace.

Also in the help menu you can find a comprehensive Reference Guide for Inspector & Modeler. This can also be found by clicking on help (?) in the top right corner of the dialogue zone. This will access the information in the reference guide at the correct page corresponding to the current function.
